Cloud Automation Engineer Position

The organization is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, building, and optimizing infrastructure automation solutions across cloud-based and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Automation & Orchestration
  • Develop reusable and scalable infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
  • Implement VMware automation with Aria stack and enable policy-as-code.
  • Manage OpenShift clusters to support containerized environments.

CI/CD Pipelines

  • Build and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
  • Integrate automated testing and quality checks for deployments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline software development life cycle (SDLC).

Cloud Platform Management

  • Deploy and optimize infrastructure on various cloud platforms including VMware, OCI, and Google Cloud.
  • Enable multi-cloud and hybrid strategies with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Automate solutions on Nutanix platforms and hyperscaler environments.

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Implement monitoring, auto-scaling, and self-healing mechanisms to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • CI/CD pipeline expertise with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
  • Expertise in VMware automation and Aria stack.
  • Experience with Nutanix (AHV, Prism, Calm).
  • Familiarity with Git/GitOps workflows.

  • OCI Certified Architect
  • Kubernetes (CKA / CKAD / OpenShift EX280)
  • VMware Certifications
  • Nutanix (NCA / NCP-MCI)
