Healthcare Data Scientist

We are looking for a skilled Healthcare Data Scientist to join our team. This role requires the ability to design and lead the development of various artificial intelligence initiatives to improve health and wellness outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python, building enterprise applications, and deep experience in classical and new age NLP techniques. They should also have understanding of new age fine-tuning techniques like PEFT, and hands-on experience with GenAI tools and techniques including RAG, VectorDBs, Agentic AI fundamentals.

The successful candidate will be able to break down complex business problems into machine learning problems and design solution workflows. They should also have experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and HuggingFace transformers, and hands-on experience with at least one ML platform from amongst Databricks, Azure ML, Sagemaker.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the development of AI initiatives to improve health and wellness outcomes.
  • Work with business leaders and customers to understand their pain-points and build large-scale solutions.
  • Define technical architecture to productize machine-learning algorithms and take them to market with partnerships.
  • Break down complex business problems into machine learning problems and design solution workflows.
  • Work with data platform and applications team to integrate data science capability or algorithms in their product/workflows.
  • Stay updated on advancements in AI/ML technologies and apply them to enhance existing systems.

Requirements:

  • Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant fields (PhD Preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Science (healthcare experience will be a plus).
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python - building enterprise applications.
  • Deep experience in classical and new age NLP techniques.
  • Understanding of new age fine-tuning techniques like PEFT.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI tools and techniques including RAG, VectorDBs, Agentic AI fundamentals.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and HuggingFace transformers.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one ML platform from amongst Databricks, Azure ML, Sagemaker.
