Information Security Manager Role

Job Overview:

This is a key technical management position that provides a conduit between IT teams and business stakeholders, ensuring information technology needs are managed consistently following professional IT standards and delivered with high quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support ISMS and PIMS policies by providing regular review and update as lead auditor.
  • Perform deep assessments to gather evidence of continuous compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 27701, DPDPA, IT Act, and Cert In Regulation, including audit logs, reviews, timely closure of open audits and risks, and sharing the report with management.
  • Conduct documented risk assessments identifying assets, threats, vulnerabilities, likelihood, and impact with stakeholders.
  • Prioritize identified vulnerabilities and detailed findings, remediation recommendations, trending reports on vulnerability posture towards closure with stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive ongoing security awareness and training programs for all employees.
  • Encourage secure behaviors among colleagues and reinforce the importance of information security in daily operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must possess ISO 27001 Lead Implementer Auditor and ISO 27701 Lead Implementer Auditor certifications and knowledge.
  • Have in-depth understanding of IT Act, DPDPA, Cert In regulations, CIS Controls, UK DPA, and ISO 31000.
  • Familiarity with common vulnerability scanning tools like Qualys and features, reporting, agent-based vs network scans, and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools like Wiz.
  • Understanding of penetration testing types, attack vectors, and exploitation techniques like MITRE ATTACK and DEFEND framework.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of common security controls and technologies like firewalls, EDR, Cloud Security, VAPT tools, SIEM, WAF, DLP, encryption, and understanding of network protocols, operating systems, Windows, Linux, and common application architectures.
