Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned mechanical design expert to take on the challenge of designing and developing cutting-edge multi-gas sensor products. As a Lead Product and Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative designs that meet customer needs while ensuring seamless product integration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Takes ownership of mechanical design from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  2. Collaborates with customers to understand their requirements and designs products that meet market-fit criteria.
  3. Designs complete sensor systems, including housings, gas flow architecture, simulation chambers, control units, and portable instruments.
  4. Works closely with electronics, materials, and compliance teams to ensure smooth product integration.
  5. Optimizes designs for manufacturability, performance, and cost across diverse environmental conditions.
  6. Conducts simulations, tolerance analysis, and failure assessments to guarantee product reliability.
  7. Selects materials and finishes compatible with gas sensing applications.
  8. Supports regulatory documentation (ATEX, IECEx) and interfaces with suppliers to drive product rollout from concept to manufacturing.
  9. Develops technical documentation and datasheets to support product launch.
Requirements
  • 5–8 years of experience in mechanical/product design with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design.
  • Member of a Formula One Student Team with hands-on experience in CAD tools and project management.
  • Strong aesthetic sense with expertise in color, geometry, and simplicity.
  • Expertise in CAD tools: SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Fusion 360, Inventor, CATIA.
  • Experience with injection moulding, CNC-based metallic enclosures, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous documentation and attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
