Production Planning Specialist

This role is pivotal to the Production Planning – Calcination team, focused on optimizing raw material blending and production planning across operations in the USA and India.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage blend schedules for pet coke feedstock across the USA and India to ensure cost efficiency and quality control.
  • Track GPC inventories and CPC production rates to ensure alignment with shipment schedules.
  • Evaluate sourcing options and logistics to minimize costs while meeting CPC quality specs.
  • Build and maintain business models using AI tools and Linear Programming (LP) for predictive planning.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Technical Services, and Operations teams globally to drive results.
  • Handle SAP transactions and generate reports on production, inventory, and KPIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in planning/blending, preferably in carbon/metallurgical industries.
  • Strong LP modeling and analytical skills.
  • SAP and advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for data analysis and optimization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and adaptability in a global team environment.
