Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a senior role that requires the application of quality assurance techniques to ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of method statements, ITPs, checklists and upgrade policies/procedures in compliance with project requirements.
  • Ensuring implementation of correct construction practices as per approved method statement, ITP, drawings, specifications and specified codes.
  • Continuous enhancement and improvement of product quality by random surveillance audits, in-house construction activities at product manufacturer end, investigation, analyzing products, systems and services being utilized.
  • Carry out traceability analysis to identify areas affected by failures and setting up monitoring mechanisms for affected structures.
  • Advise Project Manager/Project Director/Project Heads on mitigation plans in case of test failures.
  • Ensure monthly Quality reports are prepared, reviewed and submitted to concerned authorities.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with contractors & CM team to review construction quality status and highlight improvements.
  • Update L1 on deviations from specified tolerances whenever required.
Quality Control

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that quality control inspections are carried out at defined stages of works (as per approved ITP) for all structural works.

  • Ensure all materials delivered at site are inspected/tested in-house or at approved third-party laboratories as well as inspections at vendors/suppliers premises and compliance with standard specifications.
  • Update material inspections & testing findings to Procurement and Material Management teams as necessary.
  • Give final approval on all quality control inspections as applicable.
  • Responsible for acceptance of Manufacturers Test Certificate of bought-out items and material like cement, steel and construction chemicals.
  • Coordinate and follow-up with the CM team.
  • Ensure Quality documents and records are maintained.
Outsourcing

The candidate will review concrete mix designs and advise QE cell head for approval, whenever the same are furnished by RMC vendors.

  • Determine frequency of sampling/testing and finalize values of standard deviations to be adopted for concrete mix designs.
  • In case of RMC not meeting specifications, advise on acceptability or otherwise.
Training and Development

The successful candidate will conduct QMS inductions for project associates categorized as foreman and above.

  • Conduct trainings to all construction management associates & Contractor teams periodically for implementing good construction practices.
  • Arrange training and seminars and coordinate with reputed manufacturers for site associates, in order to impart excellence in them and make them familiar with new construction techniques and best practices.
Team Development

The candidate will assist in establishing project-related KRAs and individual KRAs for QE associates in line with QE cell KRAs.
