Investment Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Investment Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide critical administrative and operational support to our New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) team, assisting with transaction closings, managing shared communications, organizing compliance documentation, and ensuring timely reporting and data collection.

  • Support the NMTC Deal Lead with transaction closings by organizing checklists, tracking deliverables, and coordinating internal and external schedules.
  • Help maintain deal folders, data rooms, and filing systems to ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Document transaction milestones for internal records.

Transaction & Deal Support:

The coordinator will assist with various tasks related to transaction closures, including:

  • Organizing checklists and tracking deliverables;
  • Coordinating internal and external schedules;
  • Maintaining deal folders, data rooms, and filing systems.

Team Operations & Communications:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for various administrative tasks, including:

  • Monitoring and managing the NMTC group email inbox;
  • Managing reporting documents received from borrowers;
  • Scheduling meetings and coordinating calendar invites;
  • Assisting with document drafting;
  • Participating in the assessment of policies and procedures.

Compliance & Reporting:

The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining Smartsheet for compliance deadlines, reporting periods, and process improvements, as well as collecting and organizing compliance documentation from project sponsors.

Core Competencies Include:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in finance, real estate, project management, nonprofit, or administrative support roles;
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Effective communicator with ability to be client-facing;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with file-sharing platforms;
  • Eagerness to learn about community development finance, NMTC, or impact investing.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Review and assist in the underwriting of proposed investments;
  • Manage a portfolio of investments.
