Position Overview

Venture Innovation Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our investment team as a Venture Innovation Specialist.

This entry-level role is ideal for candidates early in their careers who are passionate about climate solutions, venture capital, and sustainable innovation.

As a Venture Innovation Specialist, you will support the investment team in identifying potential opportunities, conducting market research, and assisting in deal execution and portfolio management.

  • Support the investment team in sourcing opportunities through research and preliminary outreach.
  • Assist in financial analysis, market validation, and data collection for potential deals.
  • Help prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  • Track performance and impact metrics and conduct basic analyses for portfolio companies.
  • Conduct sectoral research to inform investment theses and track trends in climate tech and sustainability.
  • Coordinate our presence at events and build databases of relevant ecosystem players.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, finance, or related fields from a premier institution.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or startup roles; climate-focused work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills specific to early-stage investments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Passion for climate innovation and sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of climate technology and sustainability, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a passion for innovative ideas.
