Financial Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Director to lead our finance team and oversee end-to-end accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring strong foundations in accounting and international financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall accounting strategy and manage day-to-day finance operations.
- Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee reconciliations related to capital assets, trust accounts, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
- Analyze accounting data to generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
- Evaluate and maintain a deep understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures as per company expectations.
- Support the Controller/CFO with daily banking requirements, including accurate processing of positive pay transactions.
- Collaborate with the entire finance team and management to align with departmental and organizational goals.
- Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and use of resources within the department.
- Train and advise team members on handling routine financial reporting and transactions.
- Design and implement MIS reporting formats, deliver standalone and consolidated reports to management on a monthly basis.
- Address queries from stakeholders related to financial results or ad hoc reporting needs.
- Supervise the general ledger team to ensure timely compliance with all financial reporting deadlines.
Requirements:
- CA / CMA / ICWA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), or semi-qualified professionals with 8 - 9 years of relevant combined experience.
- Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations and managing general ledger processes across multiple entities.
- Solid understanding of Income Tax and GST provisions, with practical application to day-to-day transactions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently across teams and with leadership.
- A proactive professional with a positive attitude.
- Hands-on experience with ZOHO and Tally is essential.
- Zoho certification required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
