Geospatial Data Analyst Role
This position involves the collection, analysis, and interpretation of geospatial data to support informed decision-making. As a geospatial data analyst, you will be responsible for searching, collecting, processing, and managing large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Management: You will search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
- Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
- ETL operations: ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
- GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and external partners, to comprehend data requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ Years of experience is required in Data Specialist role.
- Preferred to be knowledgeable with various ESRI products - ArcGIS Enterprise, Image Analyst Extension, Data Reviewer Extension.
- Masters degree in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and various levels of management.
