Database Administrator Job Opportunity

Our organization seeks an experienced Database Administrator to manage and maintain our Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment. This role involves ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of data for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and monitor HA/DR strategies such as Always On Availability Groups, geo-replication, and failover groups to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines. This includes sizing, scaling, and automation of database resources.
  • Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
  • Monitor database performance using Azure Monitor, SQL Insights, and Query Store. Identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience working on Azure MS-SQL databases.
  • Candidate should be working as Lead Admin and working as single point of contacts for all the Azure and on-prem MS-SQL Database and Cloud Admin activities.
  • Must have experience in designing and architecture of Public cloud such as Oracle OCI or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Managing Oracle OCI or Azure VM, Network and Security.
