Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to manage and oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of supplier transactions and communications. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement or category management roles, preferably within Technology, Media, Gaming, or Creative sectors.

This role is responsible for managing the full cycle AP process, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and supplier account management. Strong analytical thinking and influencing skills are essential for success in this position.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a team of two AP clerks, setting high operational standards.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and ensure the AP function supports business needs effectively.
  • Build effective, collaborative relationships with suppliers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timely and accurate closure and reconciliation of the Purchase Ledger.
  • No overdue balances or discrepancies in supplier statements.
  • Regular review and approval of the weekly payment run.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement or category management roles.
  • Strong track record managing indirect categories such as Professional Services, HR, Marketing, or Facilities.
  • Skillful in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.

  • AAT Level 4 qualified or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), depending on experience.
  • Good working knowledge of financial systems (experience with Sage or NetSuite preferred).
