Job Title: Plant IT Head

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Plant IT team and overseeing the overall IT infrastructure, applications, and systems supporting plant operations.

This is a critical role that will play a key part in ensuring the smooth functioning of production, quality control, engineering, and warehouse processes.

As the head of Plant IT, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and headquarters departments to implement system improvements, address compliance issues, and drive digital and automation projects.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of heading IT systems in medium-to-large-scale formulations or API manufacturing facilities.

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure and systems to support various internal functions within the manufacturing facility.
  • Overseeing the installation, configuration, and management of servers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Managing active and passive networking components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cable systems.
  • Ensuring all IT systems comply with industry regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to GxP standards.
  • Maintaining good documentation practices for IT infrastructure, applications, configurations, and procedures.
  • Ensuring information security measures, including cybersecurity protocols and privacy security standards to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and headquarters departments for system issues, improvements, CAPAs, and new projects implementation.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to IT systems, providing timely support to minimize downtime.
  • Handling data backup of all critical systems and being conversant with online backup systems like Veeam and Acronics.
  • Familiarity with major audits like US FDA, MHRA, TGA, and relevant guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Good knowledge of cGAMP and compliance requirements like 21 CFR Part 11 and EU-Annexure 11.
  • Able to assess system gaps applicable to user management, data backup, systems hardware, software, and implement corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with L1 systems upgradation and L2 integration like DAS/Historian and OT-IT integration technologies like Kepware Gateway for PLC & IPC integration with central DAS systems.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, change controls, incidents, and deviations handling, RA & CAPA.
  • Awareness of Industry 4.0 strategies and smart manufacturing initiatives.
