Senior Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data processing systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines, as well as experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy data processing systems using cloud-based services such as AWS, Azure, or Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable data solutions.
  • Develop and implement data quality checks and metrics to ensure high-quality data delivery.
  • Work with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and design optimal data solutions.
  • Maintain and improve existing data systems, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing data pipelines.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with proficiency in libraries such as Pandas, Spark, and PySpark.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
