Job Title: Principal Programmer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced principal programmer to join our team. As a principal programmer, you will be responsible for providing programming support to the statistics and programming department across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.

Your primary focus will be on manipulating large databases and generating reports for analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets. You will also implement complex logic in SAS and SQL programming languages, derive complex analysis data sets from various data sources with attention to outliers and errors, and build patient cohorts and evaluate patient healthcare events in large databases using observational research methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain large-scale database systems
  • Design and implement complex statistical models
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends and insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in R and SQL programming languages
  • Proficient in Oncology databases such as Flatiron and COTA
  • Good understanding of Oncology-specific analyses like Line of Therapy algorithms and Survival analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-8 years of SAS statistical programming experience
