Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Durability Simulation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for conducting finite element modelling and analysis of vehicle components and systems.

  • Ability to create complex finite element models using advanced software tools.
  • Expertise in assigning material properties and boundary conditions to accurately simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Proficiency in building finite element assemblies for vehicle structures and applying loads to perform linear and nonlinear static analysis.
  • Strong understanding of fatigue life estimation techniques for vehicle components and welds.
  • Excellent postprocessing skills to present results in a clear and concise manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10-13 years of experience in durability simulations with a strong background in OEM product development.
  • Expertise in finite element methods, strength of materials, and applied mechanics.
  • Knowledge of various types of connections, such as spot and seam welding.
  • Proficiency in RLDA analysis using nCode Glyphworks for test data processing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
