Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role involves hands-on engineering, stakeholder coordination and oversight of infrastructure projects to ensure scalability, security and high availability.

About the Role:
  • Design and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve performance and reduce costs
  • Lead cloud infrastructure projects across networking, servers, storage and virtualization
  • Serve as subject matter expert for Windows/Linux environments, virtualization and backup/recovery systems
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to cloud engineers and support teams
  • Ensure high availability of core cloud services including compute, storage and network
  • Develop and enforce configuration standards, patching cycles and disaster recovery strategies
  • Oversee incident and problem resolution for cloud infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate with application, security and network teams on integrated cloud solutions
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory standards and audit controls
  • Plan, coordinate and execute cloud upgrades and migration initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of cloud computing platforms and technologies
  • Design and implement highly available, scalable and secure cloud architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of cloud infrastructure deployments
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure designs and configurations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, architecture and operations
  • Expert-level knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance and governance
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
