Agricultural project lead sought to manage field operations, oversee team members, and maintain strong relationships with farmers.

About the Role

This role requires a skilled professional to lead our agricultural projects, overseeing the implementation of best practices and ensuring timely data entry by team members. The ideal candidate will have experience managing field programs and be fluent in oral and written English and Telugu.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management:
    • People Management: Supervise a team of 3+ team members.
    • Project Management: Implement ARA protocols and experiments.
    • Data Review: Ensure accurate data entry by team members.
    • Audits: Conduct quality control to ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Farmer Engagement:
    • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with ARA farmers.
    • Farm Information Maintenance: Obtain farm information at timely intervals.
    • Field Presence: Spend 50%+ of time in the field engaging with stakeholders.
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance:
    • Ground-truthing: Provide field input during strategic meetings.
    • Expansion: Enroll new farms in the ARA program.
Requirements
  • Nationality: Eligible to work in India.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience managing field programs.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Telugu.
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required.
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads.
Ideal Criteria
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Aquaculture, or related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with water quality analysis in aquaculture.
