About this role:

We're looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Mainframe Quality Assurance Specialist. In this position, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a comprehensive test strategy and plan to define the scope and approach of testing.
  • Analyze requirements and identify relevant test scenarios and cases.
  • Develop and prepare test data and job control language (JCL) according to test scenarios.
  • Execute test cases by submitting jobs and analyze results.
  • Report issues and collaborate with development and support teams to resolve errors.
  • Contribute to capability building and upskilling programs, and participate in training initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in testing lifecycle processes, including test case creation, data preparation, and execution.
  • Proficiency in editing JCL or creating JCL to submit test batch jobs.
  • Familiarity with TSO/ISPF commands in mainframe environments.
  • Able to edit mainframe files using layouts/copybooks with Fileaid to modify data according to testing requirements.
  • Knowledge of DB2 databases and output files to verify outputs.
  • Test data preparation skills according to test requirements.
  • Experience in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) or Agile methodology, and ability to prepare test closure reports and signoffs.
