Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team as a Backend Architect. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and compliant backend systems that meet the needs of our business.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on building big data systems using technologies like Apache Spark and Hive. They should have experience architecting complex systems, leading technical teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Additionally, they should be passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. They should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and compliant backend systems
  • Lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers
  • Architect complex big data systems using technologies like Apache Spark and Hive
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting big data systems using technologies like Apache Spark and Hive
  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers
  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies and architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with Golang, gRPC, Docker, SnowFlake, Databricks, and advanced SQL
  • Experience working with finance and accounting teams
  • Experience with performance tuning of big data systems
