Lead Cybersecurity Architect

As a cybersecurity professional, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing top-notch cybersecurity solutions for software applications utilizing cutting-edge cloud technologies. Your primary responsibilities include devising crucial cybersecurity architecture solutions, identifying and communicating risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and providing solutions across diverse technical areas within various business functions to support project objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Engage with technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss/propose technical approaches to meet current and future cybersecurity needs.
  • Define the technical target state of cybersecurity products and drive achievement of the strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall cybersecurity of software applications and systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of cybersecurity designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and cybersecurity architecture.
  • Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge cybersecurity technologies.
  • Contribute to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Formal training or certification on Cybersecurity concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Experience in software engineering, security architecture, cybersecurity, risk management.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and controls advisory.
  • Proficiency in Security architecture skills including Threat modelling, secure design review, control design and evaluation, third party product security assessments.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies such as continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
  • Familiarity with financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best security design/solutions for the future state architecture.
  • Effectively communicate with senior business leaders.
