Job Overview
This Senior Manager IP role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of intellectual property professionals, driving strategic growth and innovation in product development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the company's growing intellectual property portfolio, implementing optimal protection processes for valuable assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify patentable inventions, draft patents, and file and prosecute innovative solutions.
- Monitor third-party scientific and patent publications, providing expert IP-related insights and partnering with legal and business functions.
- Manage patent, trademark, copyright, and related issues, maintaining accurate record architecture and educating management and scientists on best practices.
- Lead and empower a team of IP professionals, preparing and managing budgets for optimal performance.
Requirements:
- PhD or Post-graduate in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- 13+ years' experience in a reputable Global Pharmaceutical company with team handling skills.
- Experience in product IP clearances, patent drafting, prosecution, litigation support, and licensing.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team-player capable of working in a deadline-dictated environment.
