Product Designer Role

We are seeking a skilled Product Designer to lead the design of our toys and supporting materials. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who can bring innovative ideas to life.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, with experience in creating safe, engaging, and developmentally aligned products for children. They will be responsible for conceptualizing and iterating toy forms based on child-development research, creating CAD models and detailed drawings, and building and refining prototypes with stakeholder input.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be responsible for developing cohesive toy aesthetics, including materials, finishes, and colors, to align with our brand identity. They will support the creation of Mirnest's brand identity, including the logo, packaging, and visual system, and produce brand guidelines to ensure design consistency across all products.

The Product Designer will also be responsible for designing play guides and instructional inserts to help parents engage their children, creating engaging graphics for toy packaging that resonate with our audience, and supporting the design of kit storage solutions for convenient and safe transportation.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as they will work closely with child-development experts and manufacturers to ensure our products meet safety standards.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Product/Industrial Design (NID/IIT or equivalent)
  • Strong CAD and prototyping skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or similar)
  • A portfolio showing end-to-end ownership (concept → CAD → prototype)
  • Experience with children's products/toys/consumer goods preferred
  • A creative thinker who balances aesthetics, functionality, and safety
  • The ability to work independently and deliver on tight timelines
