Database Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Database Security Specialist to support our initiatives. This role requires hands-on experience with Imperva Database Security and the ability to collaborate with both customers and internal teams.

  • Configure and implement Imperva Database Security solutions across enterprise environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, develop tailored solutions, and deploy them efficiently.
  • Perform system changes and updates during off-hours to minimize downtime and reduce load on the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to firewalls, network connectivity, and server performance, leveraging strong analytical skills.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or similar languages, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
  • Update runbooks, documentation, and tooling to enhance incident response and operational readiness, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support post-incident reviews, ensuring learnings are documented and actioned, driving growth and development within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement system changes during off-hours to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and deliver customized solutions that meet their expectations.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, streamlining processes and reducing manual intervention.
  • Update runbooks, documentation, and tooling to improve incident response and operational readiness, enabling the team to respond effectively to emerging challenges.
  • Support post-incident reviews, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to prevent future incidents.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering roles, preferably in cybersecurity or infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Imperva Database Security is essential.
  • A strong background in Linux, System Administration, OS/Server Administration, and Firewall troubleshooting is required.
  • Scripting experience (Shell, Python, etc.) is necessary for developing automation scripts.
  • Ability to work independently during off-hours and occasionally sync with the team is crucial.
