About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Process Senior Consultant to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our consulting organization, you will be responsible for transforming businesses through the implementation and use of our leading Cloud procurement solutions.

As a Business Process Senior Consultant, you will apply a strong understanding of business and procurement processes, as well as solid solution expertise, to deliver high-quality projects and support our customers in the successful adoption of our solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting customers through the lifecycle of an SAP Ariba implementation
  • Supporting the blueprinting process, gathering customer requirements and expectations
  • Supporting the design process with customers, leveraging Ariba best practices as appropriate
  • Assisting customers in the development of processes and procedures that leverage Ariba solution functionality being deployed
  • Influencing the opinions and decisions of clients, leveraging proven best practices
  • Executing system testing and providing guidance on user acceptance testing
  • Developing positive relationships with the customer team
  • Using knowledge of the customer's business and industry to assess findings and shape solutions
  • Speaking to a variety of customers from different departments, at different levels, and in large or small groups
  • Making independent judgments within one's area of competence
  • Providing progress information and escalating project issues to the project manager to help ensure deliverables are on time and within budget

Depending on seniority, the Senior Consultant will also take on more responsibility on projects, including leading a stream, multiple streams, or a project. Responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and managing project tasks and resources to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget, and meet quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Working with Managers and Senior Managers to establish customer satisfaction programs and other Key Performance Indicators
  • Developing and delivering a project plan that will enable profitable delivery of the value proposition sold
  • Managing internal and external resources to optimize client impact
  • Serving as liaison between customer and Ariba internal teams
  • Identifying and addressing resource needs
  • Identifying and escalating, as appropriate, project issues
  • Acting as the point of contact for issue escalation
  • Providing timely project communication and facilitating regular status meetings
  • Delivering project cost and revenue forecasts

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/computer sciences or Master's degree in any science
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in IT- or procurement-consulting
  • Knowledge of procurement operations and/or e-procurement tools
  • Extensive experience with SAP Ariba solutions (Ariba Buying, Invoicing, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance Management, Sourcing, Contracts, Commerce Automation)
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops with strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify project risks and issues and to solve them applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel in MENA or Europe 80%
  • Fluent in English

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in business or computer sciences
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with multi-functional teams
  • Experience with SAP Procurement solutions (e.g. SAP SRM, ECC/MM, other)
  • Work experience using project management methods (e.g. PMI)
  • Knowledge of other languages (especially Arabic is a plus but not essential)
