Sliding Head Machine Operator Job Description

To operate and set up Sliding Head or VMC 3-axis or 5-axis machines, load raw materials and monitor machine performance, read and interpret technical drawings and machining instructions.

The ideal candidates should have experience in operating setting and maintaining machines as per production requirements and quality standards. They should be able to perform tool setting offset correction and basic troubleshooting.

  • Operate and set up Sliding Head or VMC 3-axis or 5-axis machines.
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and machining instructions.
  • Perform tool setting offset correction and basic troubleshooting.
  • Inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up Sliding Head or VMC 3-axis or 5-axis machines.
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and machining instructions.
  • Perform tool setting offset correction and basic troubleshooting.
  • Inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience as Sliding Head Operator Setter (0-5 years).
  • Experience as VMC Operator Setter (0-5 years).
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and use measuring tools.
  • BASIC knowledge of machine operations and problem-solving.
  • ITI Diploma in Mechanical or related field preferred.
