IT Support Specialist Job Description

As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and operating systems. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and providing technical support to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows)
  • Manage and troubleshoot LAN, WAN networks, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi devices
  • Install and maintain CCTV systems and ensure proper monitoring
  • Perform regular system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Ensure regular data backup and implement data recovery solutions
  • Conduct periodic IT audits to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records and documentation
  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Monitor IT security and ensure systems are up-to-date with patches and antivirus
  • Manage and support printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals
  • Handle daily IT operations and escalate complex issues to vendors or higher-level support

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS installation and troubleshooting
  • Experience with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, firewalls)
  • Knowledge of CCTV installation and maintenance
  • Familiarity with backup systems and data recovery
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
