Job Description

As a Principal Analog Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of power management ICs. This includes voltage regulators, power converters, and other related components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of ICs into larger systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in analog and power IC development within the Power Business Unit. They should be able to lead group of engineers and navigate through all stages of IC development while handling and mitigating challenges. The candidate must have a solid understanding of complex analog designs and full ownership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing multiple Power ICs with switching converters, starting from system level specifications and taking ICs to production.
  • Identifying and resolving technical challenges and risks. Providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Designing complete switching converters and all involved IPs. Understanding noise, power dissipation, and mitigation techniques.
  • Having a good understanding of power devices, operations, and design trade-offs for better performance & reliability.
  • Leading and guiding development, integration of complex IPs like charge pumps, source-sink LDOs, ultra-low power oscillators, temperature sensors, current sense, SAR ADCs, housekeeping blocks, protection, and other analog blocks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years in analog circuit design.
  • Solid understanding and design experience of complex analog designs with full ownership.
  • Chip design, verification, silicon validation, debugs, qual support, and taking ICs to production.
  • Technical leadership and mentoring skills.
