Global Service Engineering Specialist

Key Role in Global Service Engineering Team

The specialist – Service Engineering plays a vital role in supporting the technical experts in resolving service tasks, particularly those related to main bearing issues. This individual is responsible for creating and maintaining failed component information in Teamcenter and Windchill, as well as regularly updating management on new potential serial defects.

This position requires the ability to handle unexpected situations and time-sensitive tasks on a daily basis.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting a globally responsible team of technical experts within Global Service Engineering
  • Being a focal point of contact for technical issues between local business units and central business units
  • Assigning tasks along the technical support process
  • Collecting information about the performance of mechanical components of wind turbines
  • Identifying and reporting potential serial issues
  • Evaluating the risk potential, budgeting, and scheduling necessary activities related to major non-conformities
  • Supporting local business units in developing sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems relating to the wind turbine drive train with distinctive technical expertise
  • Creating repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies
  • Defining, implementing, and obtaining service processes for mechanical assemblies

Career/Job Experience:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Mechanical drive trains and roller bearings (design and development, evaluation of fault conditions, and error analysis)
  • Proven experience in project coordination or similar role
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Good stakeholder management, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Education and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge in Teamcenter PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP, and troubleshooting
