Job Title: Dam Engineering Professional

Job Description:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for design review and assessment of dam rehabilitation works.
  • Evaluate technical bid documents, bills of quantities, and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop need-based designs for major rehabilitation components to support dam safety initiatives.
  • Estimate costs using item rate analysis or schedules of rates.
  • Provide expert input on physical modeling of structural interventions and participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Conduct dam safety inspections, manage transmittals, and facilitate capacity building of dam safety experts through customized training programs.
  • Collaborate with the central project management unit and contribute to the revision of existing guidelines and formulation of new ones.
  • Support the development of in-house expertise at academic institutions and assist in the creation of training calendars and customized training programs.
  • Conduct need-based inspections of dams, accompany dam safety review panels, and present technical case studies at conferences.
  • Prepare project rehabilitation reports and contribute to the finalization of quality assurance manuals and plans.
