High-Performance Data Solutions Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes on Databricks to ensure high-performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions for business stakeholders and data scientists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, deliver actionable data solutions, and optimize data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
  • Integrate diverse data from multiple structured and unstructured sources into Delta Lake and cloud data warehouses for seamless analysis and insights.
  • Implement best practices in data governance, security, quality management, and data modeling to drive business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong background in Databricks, including Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus), PySpark, Spark SQL, Scala, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, ETL development, big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Kafka, etc.), and solid understanding of SQL development skills with a focus on performance tuning.
  • Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines for data solutions and mentoring junior engineers to drive technical leadership in data engineering best practices.
