Physical Design Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Specialist with a strong background in the RTL to GDS flow.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality physical design solutions from RTL to GDS, meeting project timelines.
  • Expertise in floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and physical verification is essential.
  • Develop efficient automation scripts for physical design tasks, improving productivity and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and achieve timing closure.
  • Drive PPA optimization to meet design specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in physical design, with a comprehensive understanding of the RTL to GDS flow.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced process nodes, including 3nm and 5nm.
  • Proficiency in industry-leading physical design tools, such as Cadence Innovus and Synopsys ICC2.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Tcl, Perl, or Python for design task automation.

  • Knowledge of low-power design techniques and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development tools.
