Business Data Analyst Job

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Business Data Analyst.

About the Role:

Analyzing sales data, including historical performance, trends, and market insights, is crucial to identify opportunities and challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with management and business strategy teams to model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for sales, products, new initiatives, organic, and inorganic growth
  • Data crunching, data mining, and analyzing sales data, including historical performance, trends, and market insights, to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Creating meaningful reports, dashboards, and presentations to visualize and communicate sales performance metrics to the sales team and management
  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop sales targets and strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Monitoring funnels performance weekly for the sales team
  • Working with business teams to monitor potential opportunities
  • Tracking performance (target vs achievement) of business team product-wise and presenting to management
  • Ensuring the CRM system is utilized effectively for tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
  • Providing access to CRM tools for business teams and resolving any issues they face
  • Providing sales data to respective sales representatives, generating reports, and supporting them as needed
  • Acting as a liaison between the sales team and other departments
  • Ensuring the team updates their opportunities, leads, and pipeline stages in CRM regularly

You'll have:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, sales, finance, or a related field
  • Proven 3-4 years of experience in data analysis and interpretation, preferably in a sales or marketing context
  • Proficiency in data crunching & analysis (e.g., advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Prior experience with CRM systems is an asset
