Lead Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development and implementation of quality standards, ensuring that our defect detection processes meet or exceed global construction benchmarks.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of construction defects, including structural, MEP, architectural finishing, and fit-outs. They will be able to identify root causes and implications of defects from a practical, field-oriented perspective.

A strong leader with excellent communication and analytical skills, the successful candidate will effectively manage and motivate teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with internationally recognized QA/QC standards.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement quality standards for defect detection and annotation that align with international best practices.
  • Oversight of the defect annotation process, reviewing, validating, and refining annotations to ensure the highest level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Team leadership and management, setting performance benchmarks and KPIs, conducting regular quality audits, and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Develop comprehensive training programs and continuous education initiatives for annotation specialists and quality inspectors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive QA/QC experience in major construction projects, preferably with significant work on large-scale projects in the Middle East/GCC region.
  • Proven track record of establishing and upholding quality standards in construction.
  • In-depth understanding of construction defects across all disciplines.
  • Digital proficiency with modern digital QA/QC tools and inspection management software.
