Senior Physical Design Engineer Position

Job Overview:

This is a highly specialized Senior Physical Design Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have expertise in top-level floor planning, partitioning, placement, scan-chain-reordering, clock tree synthesis, timing optimization, SI aware routing, timing analysis/closure, and ECO tasks.

  • Design implementation using Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools for high-performance electronics
  • Low Power Design - Voltage Islands, Power Gating, Substrate-bias techniques for energy-efficient systems
  • Timing closure on DDR2/DDR3/PCIE interfaces for reliable data transfer
  • Static Timing Analysis in Primetime or Primetime-SI for accurate timing predictions

The successful candidate will also possess strong communication skills, be able to clearly document plans, and effectively interface with different teams to prioritize work based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior Physical Design Engineers
  • Collaborate with front-end ASIC teams to resolve complex issues

Requirements:

  • Strong background in ASIC Physical Design
  • Extensive experience in Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
