Job Title: Senior Data Systems Engineer

Data Architects design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems that support business operations. They work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and develop strategies for collecting, storing, and analyzing data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data architecture blueprints, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms.
  • Create data models, schemas, and integration patterns that support business intelligence, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.
  • Lead data modernization and migration efforts, such as moving on-premises data to the cloud.
  • Align data architecture with enterprise IT strategies and business goals.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and databases (RDBMS and NoSQL).
  • Experience with big data processing technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi), BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker), and programming/scripting languages (SQL, Python, PySpark).
  • Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas) and APIs/integration (REST, GraphQL).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
