Heavy Engineering Fabrication Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance specialist to ensure the highest standards of quality in heavy engineering fabrication processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures for heavy fabrication projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and customer specifications.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, welding, machining, painting, assembly, and final fit-up to guarantee quality and safety.
  • Review and verify adherence to ASME, AWS, ISO, EN, DIN, IBR, and client specifications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Perform NDT inspections (UT, RT, MT, PT) as per project requirements, analyzing results to inform quality decisions.
  • Maintain close coordination with design, production, and client inspection teams to ensure seamless integration and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformities, driving continuous improvement in quality processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical/Fabrication/Production Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5–10 years' experience in quality control within Heavy Fabrication/MHS/EPC/Shipyard/Crane Manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of welding standards (ASME IX, AWS D1.1, EN ISO 15614), NDT techniques, and certification (Level II in UT/RT/MT/PT preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, fabrication GA drawings, and weld maps.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills, with ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety and precision in heavy engineering environments, with focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
