Agricultural Procurement Lead


We are seeking a highly skilled professional to spearhead our agriculture industry's procurement efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and establishing strategic partnerships with buyers and suppliers of agricultural produce, including commodities such as Maize, Wheat, Paddy, and Makhana.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaborative relationships with the field and procurement teams to drive business growth.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for specific commodities, ensuring timely delivery and optimal pricing.
  • Maintain operational efficiency at regional warehouses or processing centers through effective post-harvest value addition strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a robust network of procurement channels within and outside the organization's geographic footprint.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports detailing key performance indicators and progress updates.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of output markets and their implications on procurement decisions.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PPT) to analyze data and create presentations.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of the agriculture sector, with a focus on commodity trading and market trends.
  • Experience with maintaining management information systems (MIS) to track key performance metrics.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in Hindi.
