We are setting up a Global Capability Centre in India to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/AML, Credit, Operations etc. to our offices globally. We plan to significantly ramp-up our growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing our global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific

Job Profile:

Purpose of Role:

  • We manage the credit analysis function for our corporate clients globally. We are looking for an ambitious credit analyst to cover a varied portfolio across the EMEA region.
  • The Credit Analysis team is the Bank's first line of defense and works closely with bankers, product partners and credit approvers to promote an optimal risk / return on the banks' lending opportunities.
  • The credit analyst will perform forward looking fundamental credit analysis on the borrowers, annual reviews and limit renewals, support on ad-hoc requests and periodic reviews when necessary.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of EMEA Corporate clients and undertake objective detailed due diligence of borrowers / industry.
  • Managing end to end annual renewal of limits and borrower ratings as per the Banks credit processes and procedures collaborating with other stakeholders (Relationship Managers, Product teams and Credit Officers / Approvers).
  • Covenant checks and periodic monitoring reports.
  • Preparation of periodic sector reports and event-based stress tests of the portfolio as necessary.
  • Support Relationship Managers / Senior Credit Analysts in the department on ad-hoc requests related to new transactions or other portfolio reviews.
  • Audit management – Internal, External including regulatory inspections
  • Ability to multi-task and manage ever-changing and often conflicting priorities; Ability to work with a high level of motivation and initiative; Work diligently to develop technical skills and industry knowledge related to the role.
  • Ensure accurate and timely compliance with internal policies and reporting procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in fundamental corporate analysis gained in either a bank (or their Global Capability Centre), asset manager or rating agency environment.
  • There should be an emphasis on credit analysis in the context of a transaction or event, or a strong motivation to move into a more transaction driven environment.
  • Minimum experience of 7-8 years after Post Graduation (CA/CFA/MBA Finance or their equivalents)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience of covering EMEA Large Corporates.
  • A good understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections.
  • Understanding of market risk and ISDA documents would be preferred/ beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg/CapIQ and similar systems.
