Job Title: Shift Manager

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our team. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. You will lead a team of professionals and be accountable for managing critical situations, meeting customer requirements, and achieving Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Shift Team: Oversee and direct a team of professionals to ensure all planned and unplanned activities are executed on time with effective communication.
  2. Incident Management: Track and manage incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement recommendations within agreed timelines.
  3. Asset Management: Manage assets, warranties, annual maintenance contracts, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
  4. 5 PPM Tracking: Monitor and complete 5 Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities within targeted timelines, ensuring 100% availability of equipment.
  5. Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for RAT and TAT on complaints, ensuring uptime of redundant equipment.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for all stocks according to Business Continuity Plan (BCP) requirements.
  7. Customer Support: Collaborate with Customer Engagement (CE) teams for customer-related queries and submit reports on time.
  8. Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with periodic trackers and maintain physical security processes.
  9. Risk Assessment: Prepare risk assessments and validate them periodically based on incidents and RCAs.
  10. Inventory Management: Update inventory records regularly, reflecting capacity vs accompany vs balance on a monthly basis, including customer details on Rack inventory.
  11. Reporting: Submit reports on time, adhering to agreed timelines.
  12. Audit and Compliance: Achieve 100% audit and compliance standards.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Educational Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Professional Experience: At least 7+ years of progressive experience in data center and/or critical facilities management.
  3. Skillset: Solid technical background, understanding, and hands-on experience in data center infrastructure, electrical/mechanical engineering degree, and proven work experience in the data center industry.
