Senior Game Engine Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Engine Developer to lead our engineering team and drive the development of our next-generation game engine. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex game engine features, as well as mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the overall success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and test high-performance game engine components using C++ and other programming languages.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize feature requests, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
  3. Mentor junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the project.
  5. Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a high level of coding standards and best practices.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in game engine development.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, or other programming languages used in game engine development.
  • Experience with game engine architecture, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
