Interior Design Leadership Role

The Interior Design Lead is a key position that oversees the end-to-end interior design process, ensuring quality, aesthetics, and functionality meet the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and balance between creativity and commercial sensibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development & Oversight: Lead design development with external consultants and internal managers, aligning all design deliverables with luxury brand ethos.
  • Consultant & Team Management: Manage relationships with world-class interior design consultants, build and mentor an internal team of design managers, maintaining personal oversight on critical design and execution checkpoints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales to translate client aspirations into feasible design solutions, collaborate with Architectural, Construction, and Finishing teams to ensure on-ground execution matches design intent, resolving conflicts between aesthetics, timelines, and costs while protecting quality and design integrity.
  • Site Supervision & Execution Excellence: Maintain an active presence on sites to oversee finishing and detailing, conduct meticulous snagging and quality checks to ensure flawless delivery, upholding precision standards.
  • Commercial Awareness & Value Engineering: Balance creativity with commercial sensibility, optimizing designs for cost without diluting the luxury experience, reviewing BOQs, indents, and vendor submissions to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and design alignment.
  • Innovation & Future-Readiness: Bring global best practices and innovative materials into projects, explore digital and AI tools for visualization, moodboarding, etc., reimagining processes to enhance efficiency while maintaining design purity.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in luxury residential or hospitality interiors.
  • Proven success in managing external consultants and internal design teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing luxury projects with uncompromising detail and finish.
