About the Role

As a VMware Administrator, you will be responsible for designing and deploying resilient and high-performance infrastructure solutions in internal and public clouds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain production services in operational condition 24/7.
  • Provide level 3 technical support as a technical expert with objectives: Train / Document / Automate / Improve.
  • Work closely with global CIB infrastructure teams to define strategy and ensure global alignment.
  • Manage, monitor and lead technical projects independently.
  • Participate in major projects as SPOC VMWARE Infrastructure.

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead, mentor and develop a team of Unix experts to achieve technical and operational excellence.

Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.

Supervise the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of Unix/Linux systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Act as an escalation point for complex Unix related technical issues and outages.

Identify and address training and development needs, facilitating growth opportunities for team members.

Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for team members.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership for operational improvements.

Direct Responsibilities:

Provide expert support in VIRTUALIZATION VMWARE to maintain the Production IT environment in operational conditions.

Automate and Industrialize the technical solutions that will be delivered.

Ensure compliance with security policies.

Work closely with the Nearshoring team in Madrid/Warsaw and ensure overall alignment with AMER and APAC.

Design products and services around the cloud by preparing product specifications and managing the Lifecycle.

Stay up-to-date with digital technologies and innovations.

Be customer oriented.

Be independent and proactive.

Contributing Responsibilities:

The Digital Platform domain is responsible for IAAS (Infrastructure As A Service), CAAS (Container As A Service), PAAS (Platform As A Service), Infrastructure Services, Risk & Improvement, and For this position you will be integrated into the IAAS-VIRTUALIZATION team made up of around twenty EMEA people and in charge of products and services around virtualization technologies (VMWARE/NUTANIX) in a Production environment.

Work as a member of a team, adhere to corporate standards and change management processes, and work to improve IT standards and policies.
