Electrical Design Expert Sought

Job Summary:

We are seeking an exceptional Electrical Design Expert to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing sound design knowledge of AIS / GIS substations up to 400kV and transmission lines up to 400kV.

  • Design various bus schemes for substations / switchyards up to 400kV.
  • Create layouts for equipment plans, section drawings, AIS / GIS building & control building layouts, earthing, lightning protection, lighting, cable trays, cable trenches, transformer areas, etc.
  • Prepare single-line diagrams for key SLD, metering and protection SLD, auxiliary AC / DC system SLD.
  • Conduct design calculations for rigid bus, flexible conductor short-circuit & ampacity, shielding/lightning protection, earthing, lighting, bus post sizing, HT/LT cable sizing, battery and battery charger sizing, auxiliary transformer sizing, LA sizing, CT/VT sizing, relay settings, etc.
  • Prepare technical specifications and tender documents up to 400kV.
  • Design control, protection, and SCADA interface drawings and review protection schemes.
  • Prepare IO lists, ICS, and cable schedules.
  • Develop block logic diagrams.
  • Review vendor drawings for EHV equipment and control & protection systems.
  • Understand local standards and codes and apply them in design and engineering.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for finalizing engineering interfaces and site queries.
  • Conduct technical discussions with contractors, vendors/suppliers, and conduct site visits to resolve design-related issues.
  • Prepare management reports and MIS reports.
  • Collaborate with civil design teams to provide final design documents for construction.
  • Excellent coordination with various stakeholders including site.

Key Requirements:

Experience in electrical design of up to 400 KV SS design for AIS & GIS SS.

Proficient in software for load flow/short circuit studies, earthing design, lightening protection.

Extensive knowledge of international and Indian standards for electrical design.

Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in electrical engineering.

Years of Experience: At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience.

Renewable sector background with evacuation arrangements planned and executed up to 400 KV for over 1 GWp solar/wind project experience is an added advantage.
