Associate Director of Fundraising and Development

This role involves building and managing a portfolio of individuals, foundations, and corporations to support our goals.

You will develop strategic plans, create compelling proposals, cultivate donor relationships, promote our mission, and manage relationships with team members and donors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and Manage Portfolio: Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to support our objectives.
  • Develop Strategic Plans: Collaborate with leadership and donors to devise long- and short-term fundraising strategies aligned with the university's objectives.
  • Proposal Development: Create compelling proposals aligning university needs with donor objectives.
  • Cultivate Donor Relationships: Proactively build and nurture partnerships and relationships with prospective donors through customized communications.
  • Promote Our Mission: Represent us at events and increase awareness of our vision.
  • Relationship Management: Work effectively with team members across various teams and levels internally and externally.
  • Event Coordination: Organize campus visits and city events for both prospective and existing donors.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in any field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of work experience in fundraising or transferable skills such as private banking.
  • Skills:
    • Understanding of philanthropy networks, grant, and proposal process.
    • Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Commitment to excellence, accuracy, and attention to detail.
    • Flexibility in a start-up environment.
    • Self-driven, proactive, keen learner, and motivated to deliver exceptional outcomes.
