Job Summary:

The Production Coordinator will oversee the coordination of garment production, quality control, and delivery. This role involves process enhancements, performance monitoring, and team coordination to ensure operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of textile manufacturing processes and production management software.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Source fabrics, trims, and accessories for product development.
  • Develop samples with Production Manager, including fabric selection and quality control.
  • Review and approve samples, ensuring they meet design specifications.

Planning and Scheduling:

  • Develop yearly and monthly production plans based on order requirements and capacity.
  • Plan resources, including materials and labor.
  • Monitor production progress and address issues to meet delivery deadlines.

Vendor Management:

  • Identify and select suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors.
  • Ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of materials.

Costing and Budgeting:

  • Prepare cost estimates for products, including materials and labor.
  • Manage budgets and track expenses to stay within budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Quality Control:

  • Establish quality standards and guidelines for production.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks during production.
  • Implement corrective actions with the production team.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Replenish materials to avoid production delays.
  • Manage stock levels to minimize excess inventory and costs.

Production Coordination:

  • Coordinate with production departments, including logistics.
  • Ensure smooth communication and workflow between teams.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain records of production activities, including orders and deliveries.
  • Prepare reports on production status, costs, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in textile engineering or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and production management software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
