Investment Research Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned investment research specialist to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and updating intricate financial models with scenario analysis to inform investment decisions.
  • Applying various valuation methods, including discounted cash flow, relative, and sum-of-the-parts analysis to determine equity values.
  • Crafting accurate assumptions and valuations with clear rationale to support recommendations.
  • Screening large datasets to identify potential investment opportunities and assisting Portfolio Managers in their decision-making process.
  • Discussing investment ideas and stock updates with Portfolio Managers.
  • Preparing earnings reviews, previews, attending conference calls, and management meetings to stay informed about market trends.
  • Creating pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic notes to effectively communicate research findings.
  • Maintaining databases up-to-date and ensuring accuracy of information.
  • Analyzing news articles and staying abreast of market developments.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and maintain constant contact with clients and other stakeholders.

  • The ability to think critically and analyze drivers and key performance indicators across various sectors.
  • Effective client relationship management skills and strong communication abilities.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Numerical abilities and the capacity to build complex, error-free models.
  • The skill to carry out earnings sensitivity analysis and provide valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based, or industry-specific valuations.
  • Excellent writing skills, enabling them to convey complex ideas in a logical and structured manner.
  • The ability to write bulletins and one-page summaries that require minimal rework.
  • The skill to link macro/industry analysis to research output.
  • The ability to create effective presentations and collect, summarize, and analyze news to add value to the output.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Python, SQL, Power BI is advantageous.
