Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Global Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud platforms, and scalable data processing pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data processing pipelines using Tasty.
  • Manage and organize data lakes using LakeFS.
  • Deploy, scale, and monitor Spark applications using Spark Operator.
  • Manage software artifacts using Artifactory.
  • Integrate data from various sources using Treeno and Airbyte.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using Spark and Scala.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Scala, S3, and Spark programming.
  • Proficiency in deploying, scaling, and monitoring Spark applications.
  • Experience with data integration tools like Treeno and Airbyte.
  • Knowledge of Delta Lake for managing large-scale data lakes.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their data services.
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
