About a Pioneer in AI for Cybersecurity:

A leading organization is seeking an expert to pioneer innovation in AI for cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will combine cutting-edge research with deep industry expertise to deliver powerful and practical solutions.

This is a contract position based in India, focusing on conducting sensitive internal investigations, performing in-depth background research, and providing actionable intelligence on potential threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct confidential internal investigations into potential security incidents, including suspected sabotage, intellectual property theft, insider threat activity, and other policy violations.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence and enhanced background research on potential partners, key hires, vendors, and other third parties using advanced OSINT techniques and investigative methodologies.
  • Analyze and synthesize information from various sources to identify patterns, assess risks, and understand adversarial tactics.
  • Provide critical context during investigations into hacking and other cyber-related incidents, working alongside technical teams.
  • Produce clear, concise, and objective reports detailing investigative findings, threat assessments, and risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Help develop and document corporate investigation and intelligence-gathering standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity, ensuring all activities comply with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in national intelligence or law enforcement agencies, military intelligence, or the Indian Armed Forces, with a focus on investigations or counter-intelligence.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex investigations, including evidence collection, interviews, and structured analysis.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering techniques and analytical tools.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to synthesize disparate information into coherent assessments.
  • Unquestionable personal integrity, ethics, and professional judgment.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience in corporate security, threat intelligence, or investigations roles, demonstrating a successful transition from government to commercial environments.
  • Familiarity with foundational cybersecurity concepts, the cyber threat landscape, and digital forensics principles.
  • Knowledge of Indian laws pertaining to privacy, data protection, and corporate investigations.
  • Established professional networks within national security and intelligence communities.
