About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Technology to lead our technical delivery team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end technical delivery of multiple projects, ensuring high quality and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Delivery Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end technical delivery of multiple projects, ensuring high quality and scalability.
  • Offshore Team Management: Lead, inspire, and grow multiple offshore engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring operational excellence within a distributed team model.
  • Client Engagement & Collaboration: Work directly with clients to translate business needs into technical strategies and ensure strong relationships.
  • Technical Strategy & Vision: Contribute to the overall technology strategy, aligning engineering efforts with business goals and championing best practices in software development, architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Team Mentorship & Development: Mentor cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and QA, driving continuous learning and professional growth within your teams.
  • DevOps & Cloud Enablement: Guide the implementation of robust DevOps practices, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure deployment of solutions on AWS or GCP.
  • Quality & Standards: Establish and enforce high standards for code quality, architectural integrity, and technical documentation, conducting regular reviews to ensure consistency and maintainability across projects.
  • Cross-Global Collaboration: Facilitate seamless collaboration between offshore teams and global stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, aligned objectives, and integrated workflows.

Requirements:

  • Progressive Experience: 10-12 years of progressive experience in software engineering, with a substantial focus on backend and full-stack development.
  • Offshore Team Management: At least 5 years of proven experience in managing and leading offshore engineering teams.
  • Client-Facing Role: Minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role, demonstrating strong client management and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in Java, with extensive experience building scalable backend solutions.
  • Front-End Development: Proficiency in TypeScript and React.js for modern front-end development.
  • Cloud Solutions: Solid experience building scalable cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
  • DevOps Tools: A strong understanding and hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD processes.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and team-building capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
